Richardson Memorial: Saladino claims title
HEWLETT, New York (May 7, 2011) -- Joseph Saladino of Huntington CC, the Long Island Golf Association's Player of the Year four of the last five years, won his first Richardson Invitational Championship Saturday.
Saladino, who led all golfers at the end of the event's stroke-play portion rolled through match play and knocked off Robert Stelben, 2-and-1 in Saturday's final round.
Steve Rose of Fresh Meadow CC won his fourth Senior Masters Division title. Rose defeated Jay Sessa, 1-up. Sessa had finished stroke play at the top of the leaderboard.
