Long Beach Women's City: Gulugian wins in playoff
LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 24, 2011) -- Ani Gulugian of Irvine captured the Long Beach Women's City Championship in a one hole playoff with Noelle Zavaleta of Lakewood.

Guligian, who shot an opening round 71 and lead the field followed up today with a 74 and two day total 145. Zavaleta shot 73-72, 145 and tied for the low round of the day with third place finisher Amelia Ek of Cypress. Ek finished at 148 with 76- 72.

ABOUT THE Long Beach Women's City

Championship Division is 36 holes of stroke play open to all women amateurs with a handicap of 2.9 and lower, OR have played high school or collegiate golf within the past two years. Those who played in the Women's City Championship in the previous year, or in the Championship Division of the Women's City Championship in years prior may request inclusion as well.

The Women's City Challenge is 36 holes of stroke play for players with indexes of 3 and higher; held over the first two days, with gross and net competition within flights. Must have a one-year established handicap and 12-month LI (Low Index) to qualify for net score awards.
