Sebastian Pinzon leads by four shots at Dixie Amateur

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (Dec. 19, 2011) -- Sebastian Pinzon exploded out to an impressive four-shot lead after firing a first-round 63 at the 81st Dixie Amateur at Heron Bay Golf Club.
Pinzon of La Calera, Colombia, leads Derek Ernst, who fired a 67, by a commanding four shots heading into Round 2 play. Ernst, of Clovis, Calif., has had a spectacular 2011 year, reaching the semifinals at the U.S. Public Linksand a fourth-place tie at the Pacific Coast Amateur and should be in the hunt throughout the event.
Motin Young of Orlando and Tom Lovelady of Birmingham, Ala. each shot 68 and sit in a third-place tie following the first day of play.
