Golfweek Senior: Ken Larney and Walt Martin lead their flights
BRADENTON, Fla. (Jan. 15, 2011) -- In the first round of the Golfweek Senior National Golf Tournament, Ken Larney of Orland, IL fired a 2-under-par 70 to take a one stroke lead over Vance Antoniou of North Barrington, IL. Harris Rakestraw of Somerset, KY and Phil Pavoni of Macon, GA shot even par 72 and are tied for third.
Walt Martin of Oakton, VA also shot a 2-under-par 70 and leads the super-seniors by three shots. Gary Shimmin of Oakatie, SC holds second with a 73 and Ted Smith of Wilkinson, IN is in third with a 74.
The second round of the 54-hole tournament played at Waterlefe Golf and River Club continues on Monday at 8:30 a.m.
