Bearrie takes Texas Medalist Series North #1 title

Plano, Tx (Mar 11, 2012) -- John Bearrie began the day three back, but after a birdie 3 on the par-4 sixth hole he took the lead and never looked back. First round leader Ted Waldrip stumbled on the first hole with bogey and then made triple on the par-3 third hole. He would play 1-under from that point on but it wasn't enough to catch Bearrie, who carded the low round of the day by 6 shots.
John Schaefer posted 76-76--152 to finish sole third and Jeremy Freedman signed for 80-74--154 and a fourth place finish.
