Leven Gold Medal: Daniel Young wins it
LEVEN, Scotland (Aug. 13, 2012) -- Craigie Hill player Daniel Young scored his second victory on this year's SGU Order of Merit circuit when he won the 2012 Standard Life Amateur Champion Gold Medal event.

Daniel, a student at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, shot a 5 under par total of 279 to win by 2 shots from former Scottish Amateur champion and Walker Cup player, Graham Gordon (Newmachar) with former Scottish Youths champion Scott Borrowman (Dollar) in third place.

Players commented that the course was in excellent condition with the greens receiving special mention. The weather was not kind however with the strong wind resulting in CSS as follows 74, 74, 72, and 75 for the 4-round event.
