Geyer captures Antioch City title

ANTIOCH, Calif. (Aug. 27, 2012) -- Youth was served in the CHAMPIONSHIP flight of the Antioch City Championship. Four of the top six players come from a strong St. Mary's college golf team. Ben Geyer shot 134 with a final round 64 to capture the title by 2 strokes over Grant Rappleye.
Ben's teamates from St. Mary's took the next two spots, Mac McClung-138 & Cody Robinson-139. Brian Swenson shot 139 to tie for 4th. Lone Tree associate & St. Mary's student Jonathan De Los Reyes represented Lone Tree proud with a 6th place finish at 141.
Mr. Steady, Jim Duncan, captured his 2nd Antioch senior title in a row with a -2 total of 142 to win by a stroke over Jim Williams. 23 players competed in this popular event that featured some of the bay area's top senior amateurs.
Ron Johnson took third place with a 144, Gary Vanier took fourth with a 145. Lone tree fixture Terry Foreman tied for fifth with Tony Mcbroom at 147.
