Kingsway Senior: Schlachter tops Zylstra

LAKE SUZY, Fla. (Jan. 14, 2013) -- Paul Schlachter knocked off Bill Zylstra to win the 2013 Kingsway Senior Invitational at Kingsway Country Club. The Bridgeville, Penn. resident fired a final-round 76 but finished the 54-hole event tied alongside Zylstra.
Schlachter fired rounds of 71 in the first two rounds and entered the final round one shot behind David Brown. Zylstra was third entering Round 3 after rounds of 71-72. He shot 75 in the final round.
Brown struggled with a final-round 82 and finished in a tie for fifth place.
Tom Hyland (74-74-72) finished third while Ron Carter (75-72-75) was fourth.
In the Super Senior division, Gary Strickfaden bested John Castevens while Bob Howe placed third.
Ray Darmstadt won the Legends Flight.
