Australian Amateur: Watt claims medalist honors

SOUTH OAKLEY, VICTORIA, Australia (Jan. 16, 2013) -- Overnight leader Brady Watt continued his recent good form to claim Medallist honours in qualifying at the Australian Men’s Amateur Championship at Commonwealth and Woodlands Golf Clubs in Melbourne.
West Australian Watt posted rounds of 66 and 70 to finish at 8-under par and earned the top seeding in the Match Play.
Victorian Todd Sinnott backed up his first round 66 with a second round 71 to finish at 7-under par in outright second. Englishman Nathan Kimsey is the joint leading international player at 5-under par in a tie for third with New Zealander Sam An.
New South Welshman Dale Brandt-Richards finished at 4-under par tied with German Dominic Foos. The first round of knock out Match Play is held on Thursday at Commonwealth Golf Club.
