San Francisco City Women's: Top-seed Cathrea moves on

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (March 3, 2013) -- Top-seeded Casie Cathre moved on at the 2013 San Francisco Women's Championship at TPC Harding Park.
Cathrea won 3-and-2 to set up a quarterfinal matchup with Nicollette Bondura, a 1-up winner over Eva Monisteri.
No. 2 Anan Sangha won 2-up over No. 15 Maria Davis and will take on No. 10 Tyler Akabane, who prevailed over No. 7 Kelsey Kawaguchi in 19 holes.
Jayshree Sarathy, the No. 14 seed, upset No. 3 Chloe Corriveau by a score of 4-and-3. She'll take on Samantha Ergueres, who also scored an upset to advance. Ergueres, the No. 11 seed, beat No. 6 Anna Zhou, 2-and-1 to move on.
No. 4 Kathleen Scavo fell to No. 13 Jessica Luo, 5-and-4. Luo will face No. 5 Nina Fairbairn, who defated No. 12 Belinda Hu, 8-and-7 to advance.
Match play continues Saturday with tee-times beginning at 7 a.m.

WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP AND INKSTER
FLIGHT
$275 ENTRY FEE INCLUDES ALL GREEN FEES
Open to the first 60 entries received. No index
required. Qualifying will consist of one 18-hole
stroke play round. Along with the defending
champion, who will hold the number two seed, the
low 15 scores will advance to the Women’s
Championship Flight. The next 16 contestants will be
seeded in the Juli Inkster Flight. Individual scores
will determine seeding for match play. Contestants
who don’t qualify for the Women’s Championship or
Inkster Flight will be refunded $125. Entrants who
are a no show will not be entitled to a refund. All
rounds will be played at TPC Harding Park Golf
Course. Those contestants who post the 32nd and
33rd low scores will be deemed alternate #1 and
#2,
respectively.
