Arkansas Four-Ball: Eoff brothers win playoff
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (March 25, 2013) -- Austin Eoff two-putted for par from 25 feet on the second playoff hole #2 Arlington as he and his brother, Adam defeated 2008 Champions Lyle Middleton &Richard Wrentz to win the 2013 ASGA 4-Ball Championship.
It was the second consecutive year the 4-Ball ended on #2 on the Arlington Course in a playoff as Seth Garner & Wesley Harris won last year's title in a four-team playoff.
Eoff/Eoff had a 66 on the Park Course and a 67 on the Arlington Course for a 36-hole total of 133, 11 under par. Middleton/Wrentz did just the opposite with a 67 on the Park and a 66 on the Arlington. Outstanding scores with conditions of tempertaures in the low 40s and a wind chill near freezing for the 10 am shotgun start. By the time of the playoff at 4 pm, the temperature was 37 degrees with a wind chill of 26.
First round co-leaders Casey Yates & Kerry Lott finished 3rd with 65-71 while Nick & Scot Crisco (71-67) tied for fourth with 2004 and 2005 Champions, Chris Jenkins & Wes McNulty (69-69) and Jeff Campbell & Michael Barre (66-72).
The Eoff Brothers, Adam, a senior at Arkansas State and Austin, a senior at Benton High School headed to Purdue this fall, take custody of the Creekmore/Allison Trophy for one year and each as awarded a Silver Cup by Barry Howard, GM/Director of Golf at Hot Springs Country Club.
A total of 52 teams participated in the 28th ASGA 4-Ball, and Sunday's weather resulted in 8 withdraws, one prior to the round and seven during the round. Austin Eoff told Sentinel Record Reporter Sam Saunders following the round, he had only played in these kind of conditions one time.

Players competing in this Championship are
required to be current individual members of
the Arkansas State Golf Association and a
current member of a club or golf association
that is also a member. the two players are
not
required to be a member of the same club or
golf association. The Minimum age is 18,
unless approved by the ASGA. Both players
must have current ASGA-USGA Handicap
indexes. Total team handicap cannot exceed
15 strokes. All scores will be gross score.
The format is 36 holes of four-ball stroke
play. Open and Senior divisions.
