CASTLE PINES, Colorado (May 29, 2013) -- The Charlie Coe Invitational, one of the premier four ball events in the U.S., is underway in Colorado.

Jeff Knox and Tripp Kuhlke opened play Wednesday with a 66 and lead the field by one shot.

Brooks Ratzlaff and Tyler Leon are second after a first-round 67 while the teams of Brooks Andrisen and Bobby Murray, Ted Neville and Andy Latowski and Paras Pandya and Thomas Lesparance sit in a tie for third place at 68.

Jim Grane and Hunter Nelson lead the Senior Division by one shot after an opening-round 65.

ABOUT THE

The Charlie Coe Invitational, organized by Mike Timbers, is played every other year to honor one of the greatest amateurs ever. 54-hole two-man team event for mid-amateurs and seniors, max handicap combined 4.0. Starting in 2020, the tournament uses the International Stableford Scoring system that was created by Jack Vickers for The International PGA Tour event. Inquire by letter and golf resume.
