U.S. Amateur Public Links qualifying results
Qualifying for the 2013 U.S. Amateur Public
Links Championship began Wednesday, June 5.
Running through June 24, there will be more
than 70 qualifiers held at various courses
across the country ahead of the July
15-20 event at Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton,
Virg.

As the qualifying process rolls on, we'll post
updates here as the field is filled out for
second to last Pub-Links to be
played:
• England native and Florida teen Sam Horsfield shot a 10-under 61 in the first
round of local qualifying at
Fox Hollow in New Port Richey, Fla. He came
back the next day to shoot 1-under and roll to medalist honors.
• Canada's Justin Shin of New Mexico State edged the
field at the
Blue Heron Hills Country Club qualifier. He
shot a 36-hole total of 137, six shots better than first
alternate Alex Edfort.
• Texas A&M senior Cameron Peck took the
final of three qualifying positions at the
Golf Mountain Golf Club
(Bremerton, Wash.) qualifer; Cal red shirt
freshman
Andrew
Morgan missed the cut but will be first
alternate.
• Experienced mid-amateur
Sean Knapp of
Pennsylvania is moving on after taking the
second of three available qualifying positions
at the
Clustered Spires Golf
Club (Fredricksburg, Md.) qualifier; Former
Michigan State golfer Brandon Cigna also
qualified.
