About
I am 25 years old and I live in Austin, TX. I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved out here for school. My family is spread out all over the country, with my parents in Wyoming, brother in California, and sister in Colorado. Visiting them gives me the opportunity to play golf all over. I am graduating from Texas State University in San Marcos in 2011. I plan on
staying in Austin after graduating. The city is great and the amount of quality golf courses in the area will keep me busy for a very long time. I have played competitive golf since I was in 6th grade. I only played golf for a year in college, but continued to play in whatever amateur tournaments I could find. Amateurgolf.com was a huge help for me in finding tournaments
in the Austin area.

Holes-in-one: 1
I made my one and only hole-in-one on the 8th
hole at Ladera Golf Course in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. It was in a high school tournament so it
made the shot that much more memorable.
High school team
I played for Sandia Preparatory School from 8th grade all the way through 12th grade.
Golf destinations wish list
Obviously, St. Andrews is near the top of this
list. I feel that any golfer, if given the
opportunity would take a round here over just
about any course in the world. Another
destination on my list has to be Pebble Beach. I
have been lucky enough to play there and would
recommend it to anyone. It doesn't matter if
you play the best round of golf of your life or
one of the worst, you will enjoy playing this
course more than any. It is by far the most
memorable course I have ever played, which is
why this course will always remain on my
destination list. The last
place that would be on my golf destination list
would have to be The Legends Golf and Safari
Resort in South Africa. The only reason this is
on my list is because they have an unusual 19th
hole. This tee box to this hole can only be
reached to by helicopter and it is 1,400 feet
above the green, and the green happens to be
shaped
like Africa. Supposedly it takes 30 seconds for
the ball to even reach the ground after you tee
off. After seeing the video of some pros playing
this hole, I have very much wanted to try it for
myself as soon as possible.
Interests
Other than golf, I have an interest in music. I
live in Austin, which has an amazing live music
scene. I started going to concerts when I lived
in
Albuquerque but after moving here, is has
almost become an obsession. I have probably
been to
hundreds of concerts in the past 10 years or so.
I took up the guitar a few years ago as well, and
even though I am not
very good I enjoy playing. Another interest of
mine is fishing. I have been fly fishing my entire
life and it is one of my favorite things to do. On
top of that I enjoy occasionally playing other
sports and hanging out with my friends and
family.
Greatest Golf Moment
The greatest golf moment for me was when I
won the New Mexico AAA state golf tournament
in 2003. I was a sophomore at the time and
was unable to play in state the year before
because I broke my ankle two days before the
tournament started. I made it my goal to not
only get to state, but to win it the next year. It
was the best feeling to set this goal, work hard
at it, and accomplish it.
