The Mid Ocean Club, located in scenic
Tucker's Town, is home to one of the
greatest golf courses in the world. Built
in 1921, by architect Charles Blair
Macdonald, and gently modified by Robert
Trent Jones, in the 1950's, the course
has been graced by the presence of
Dwight Eisenhower, Sir Winston Churchill,
The Duke of Windsor, George Bush and
Babe Ruth, to name just a few. It has
also been the venue on the PGA Tour, in
recent years, and has challenged some of
the great names in golf today.
The Mid Ocean Club was highlighted in
Golf Digest's annual ranking of golf
courses by gaining a 45th world ranking in
courses outside the United States.
The classic course was also
rated "3rd Best Golf Resort in the
Caribbean" by the readers of Travel +
Leisure Golf magazine in 2006
