The elite national summer schedule rolls on.
Wednesday marks first-round of play at the 2013 Northeast Amateur Championship at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, RI.
The event again features one of the top fields of the year with many top collegiate and mid-amateur players.
Cody Proveaux, Curtis Thompson, Todd White, Shotaro Ban, Garrett Rank, Joe Saladino, Trey Mullinax, Richy Werenski, Cory Whitsett, Beau Hossler, Max Homa, Nathan Smith, Michael Kim, Brandon Hagy, Patrick Rodgers and Cameron Wilson are just a few of the big names we'll be following all week.

Northeast Amateur
The Northeast Amateur has a historic list of winners,
including Ben Crenshaw, Dustin Johnson, Collin
Morikawa, Luke
Donald,
Scott Hoch, John Cook, Hal Sutton, and David Duval.
It
has been annually held at the Donald Ross-designed
Wannamoisett Country Club since 1962. The event
is
limited to 90 elite players; there is a cut after 54
holes
and the entire tournament is played in twosomes.
