Defending champions into quarterfinals at Heart of America Four-Ball
KANSAS CITY, MO (August 5, 2014) — Defending Heart of America Four-Ball champions Jackson Foth and Josh Weems were co-medalists after shooting seven-under par qualifying round of 65, earning a bye into the round-of-16.
In Tuesday's match, the pair advanced to Wednesday's quarterfinal matches with a one-up victory over Tim Hendrix and Grant Akers.
Foth will be a junior at the University of Missouri-Kansas City after playing two years at Kansas while Weems is the current Kansas Stroke Play champion.
Other co-medalists Park Ulrich and Alex Higgs won handedly in their round-of-16 matchup, sending Bob and Brian Cole home after an 8-and-6 beating.
