Kyle Suppa Claims Hawaii State Amateur
Kyle Suppa
AIEA, HI (March 19, 2016) -- Kyle Suppa claimed the Hawaii State Amateur by three shots Sunday over Tyler Ota.
Suppa (Honolulu, HI), a USC commit, fired a final round of 70 (2-under) to overcome a one-shot deficit at the start of the round. Suppa's experience as a former champion of the event, showed down the stretch. He made three birdies for a back-nine 34, whereas a double bogey on hole 12 lead to a 38 coming in for Ota.
Suppa will be a great addition to USC Trojans. The high school senior has already made the cut at the 2015 PGA Tour Sony Open.
