North Carolina regains top spot in Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches Poll for March 22

After being the only team to finish under par at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational March 10-11, North Carolina is No.1 for the sixth time in seven 2023-24 Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches Polls. The Tar Heels received 12 first-place votes and 582 points, six more than previous No.1 Auburn (10 first-place votes and 576 points). 

Vanderbilt (two first-place votes), Arizona State, and Ole Miss rounded out the top five, while Washington, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Alabama, and Florida State completed the top 10.

Vanderbilt is led by Gordon Sargent, who is ranked No. 1 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings. David Ford, who is ranked No. 3, leads North Carolina and recently played on the PGA Tour.
