The Class of 2025 is now free to sign college National Letters of Intent. With rosters shrinking to eight players, the recruiting process is tougher for college coaches and players alike.

According to Junior Golf Scoreboard, the top 10 players have won plenty of trophies and represented the United States in events like the Junior Presidents Cup this fall.

Here are where the top ten players from the Junior Golf Scoreboard Class of 2025 rankings will play next fall. 

 

1) Michael Riebe - Encinitas, California

Commit: Vanderbilt

Riebe’s resume is full of top-five finishes in a slew of top-tier events. He recently finished fourth in the AJGA Tournament of Champions with rounds of 68-68-77-71. This past summer, Riebe defeated medalist Kelly Chinn in the North & South to reach the Round of 16 before losing to Nicholas Gross. Impressive performances in the U.S. Junior Amateur and the Western Junior Championship helped Riebe earn a spot on the Junior Presidents Cup team. 

2) Chase Kyes - Birmingham, Alabama

Commit: Tennessee

Kyes has been a dominant presence in the Alabama high school scene. He won back-to-back Alabama Class 7A individual state titles in 2023 and 2024. His 2024 performance helped Spain Park take home the team state title, too. He reached the Round of 64 in the U.S. Junior Amateur. He also finished runner-up in the Western Junior, which was highlighted by a 64 in the third round.

3) Jackson Byrd - Sea Island, Georgia

Commit: Clemson

Jackson Byrd, son of PGA Tour player Jonathan Byrd, recently won the Ping Invitational in October with rounds of 69-71-69. He also notched a sixth-place finish in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley. He'll follow in his dad's footsteps and compete at Clemson. His uncle is the Tigers' coach.

4) Logan Reilly - Lovettsville, Virginia

Commit: Auburn

Logan Reilly had quite a 2024. As a 17-year-old, he won the Virginia State Open and the Virginia Amateur. He also won the Scott Robertson Memorial with rounds of 68-69-69, and he finished third in the Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Reilly was a member of Team USA in the Junior Presidents Cup.

5) Kihei Akina - Alpine, Utah

Commit: BYU

Akina’s highlight of 2024 was an appearance in the Black Desert Classic on the PGA Tour this fall. He was a sponsor invite. He finished fifth in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley and won the UJGA Mountainland Jr. and the Nike Junior Invitational. 

6) Adam Villanueva - Austin, Texas

Commit: Texas

The Texas Junior Amateur runner-up has been a standout in the Lone Star State, and it has earned him a spot on the Texas Longhorns roster in 2025. A five-shot win in the George Hannon Junior Invitational was was a highlight. Villanueva also led Westlake High School to its sixth consecutive Texas state championship while also capturing the individual title

7) Carson Bertagnole - Pinehurst, North Carolina

Commit: UNC

The future Tar Heel was the runner-up in the Jones Cup Junior in late 2023. He won the Team TaylorMade Invitational in May, marking his second AJGA title. He won the 2022 AJGA Junior at 12 Oaks.  He backed up a third-place finish in the North Carolina 4A State Championship in 2023 with a victory in 2024. His Pinecrest team won its second straight team title, too. Bertagnole shot 8 under par over 36 holes, and Pinecrest set the all-time state championship scoring record. He was the 2022 Carolinas Golf Association Player of the Year, an honorable mention AJGA All-America in 2023, and 2024 AJGA first-team All-America.

8) Will Hartman - Marvin, North Carolina

Commit: Vanderbilt

Will Hartman reached the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2023 before losing to champion Bryan Kim. He also won the 2022 and 2023 Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational. He was a Wyndham Cup and Junior Presidents Cup participant. He also recorded an 11th-place finish in the Terra Cotta, fifth in the Junior PGA Championship, and seventh in the Junior Players Championship.  

9) Edan Cui - Los Altos Hills, California

Commit: Stanford

Edan Cui won the AmateurGolf.com Pacific Grove Championship in 2023 along with the 2022 AJGA Junior at Dupont. More recently, he won the AJGA Mizuno Championship, firing an incredible 61 in the first round. He also notched a third place in the AJGA Tournament of Champions. He’s been named an AJGA All-Star and has also been outstanding in the San Francisco City Championship, earning medalist honors in 2022. In the last two years, he’s made deep runs in the U.S. Junior Amateur. He reached the quarterfinals in 2022 and the Round of 16 in 2023. 

10) Bowen Mauss - Draper, Utah

Commit: Arizona State

Mauss won the 2023 Utah City Championship and, like Kihei Akina, played in the Black Desert Championship. he also led Corner Canyon High School to its first-ever Utah 6A state championship in 2024, claiming individual medalist honors at the event. He knocked off two-time champion Akina. He played in the 2023 U.S. Junior Amateur and finished 5th in the Dustin Johnson World Junior and sixth in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley.
