Lompoc City: TMU Senior Larson secures victory with three-shot lead

Jonathan Larson, a senior at The Master’s University from Bellingham, WA, posted rounds of 74-76 to clinch the Lompoc City Amateur Championship by three strokes at La Purisima Golf Club.
Larson, who started the final round two shots behind
Brian Walker, delivered an impressive 76 in challenging conditions, while Walker struggled with an 81, allowing Larson to emerge as the winner.
Brian Walker secured the runner-up position with rounds of 72-81, finishing with a total score of 153.
Larson’s victory marks his seventh individual title of the 2024-2025 season, with six of those earned at TMU. His latest win came at the TMU Spring Invitational two weeks ago.
Rye Winans claimed third place with rounds of 81-76 for a total of 157, while Ryder Epson finished fourth for the second consecutive year, recording rounds of 79-80 to end at 159.
Net Division Results
In the Net division, Mark Charmley posted rounds of 73-71 to claim the title by five strokes with a total score of 144. Three players — Bryce Schimmel, Robert Moncrief, and Jerry Brandt — tied for runner-up honors at 5-over. Schimmel recorded rounds of 76-73, Moncrief 74-75, and Brandt 72-77 to share the second-place finish.

first 90 entries. Net competitors must have a valid
USGA handicap. Entry fee includes green fees for
