For fathers and sons, there’s something timeless about walking the fairways together. Whether it’s a first junior event, a college break reunion, or a competitive run at the AmateurGolf.com Two-Man Links, these are the rounds that live longest in memory.
In 2026, one Father–Son team from our Two-Man Links Championship series will take that bond across the Atlantic to golf’s most hallowed ground: St Andrews, Scotland.
The Prize of a Lifetime
Champions of the Father–Son Division will earn entry into the 23rd Father & Son Tournament, April 18–23, 2026. More than a tournament, it’s a week of family, fun, and tradition set against the backdrop of the game’s birthplace.
Over five unforgettable days, competitors will face a rota that reads like a golfer’s dream:
- Carnoustie Championship Course — one of the sternest Open venues
- Kingsbarns — a breathtaking modern links carved into the Fife coast
- The New Course at St Andrews — Old Tom Morris’s classic test
- The Old Course — a final round on the sacred turf every golfer dreams of
Between rounds, families stay at the renowned Old Course Hotel, where windows look toward the Swilcan Bridge and the whispers of golf history are all around. Evenings are filled with stories, laughter, and the shared anticipation of tomorrow’s tee times.
Who Makes It Possible
This extraordinary prize is made possible through AmateurGolf.com’s partnership with The Experience Golf, a trusted name in luxury golf travel with more than 30 years of expertise. As one of the very few authorized providers of Old Course tee times, they bring golfers closer to the soul of the game than anyone else.
Their philosophy is simple: golf is about more than just swings and scores. It’s about experiences — historic clubhouses, coastal villages, warm hospitality, and stories passed down for generations. For golfers and non-golfers alike, The Experience Golf creates memories that extend far beyond the 18th green.
Your Road to Scotland
There are two more events where Father–Son teams can earn this prize:
Venue: Torrey Pines Golf Club — South Course
Dates: Dec 16–19, 2025
Venue: Pebble Beach Golf Resort
Dates: Mar 26–29, 2026
A win at either of these iconic venues will not only earn a trophy, but also a ticket to St Andrews — the opportunity of a lifetime.
The Moment Awaits
Picture it: the sun setting over the Old Course, your family’s name called at the prize ceremony, the Swilcan Bridge under your feet. It’s the moment every golfer dreams of, made even sweeter when shared across generations.
For one Father–Son team, that journey begins this December at Torrey Pines, or next March at Pebble Beach. The fairways are waiting. Will your story be the one that continues at St Andrews?
