Mid-Atlantic Four-Ball: Baloga, Sheedy roll
LORTON, Virg. (Aug. 27, 2012) -- Maryland Mid-Am champion Ray Sheedy (Clustered Spires) and former Middle Atlantic Amateur champion Chris Baloga (Hillendale) combined for a 32-30--62 to take the crystal champions trophies in the 12th Middle Atlantic Mid-Am Four-Ball at Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, VA. Site of the 2013 USGA Amateur Public Links Championship, the 7,012 yard course was shortened by about 250 yards due to torrential weekend downpours.
Tied for second place were the teams of Jason Pool and Rob Menefee from Belle Haven and Brian Marfori and Craig Mason of Chantilly Manor with 64s. Fourth place was taken by Matt Bancroft and Alex Brueggemann of Maryland Golf with 65.
