The course at Beaumont Country Club was designed by Alex Findlay in 1906, making it one of the oldest clubs in the state. For years the course was known as a shortish, old-style layout with narrow, tree-lined fairways and small, well-conditioned greens. A redesign by Baxter Spann in 2004 breathed new life into the course, as all tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens were reconstructed, and new drainage and irrigation systems were installed.
