Tim Snyder wins playoff for Nipomo Men's Amateur
Tim Snyder
NIPOMO, California (Jan. 10, 2016) -- Monarch Dunes
yielded very few under-par scores over the
weekend, and none in the 60's.
After a week of much-needed rain prior to the
tournament, the course played longer than normal,
although the weekend provided a break from the
downpours that came in four or five waves during
the week.
Tim Snyder posted consistent rounds of 73-72
for a 3-over tournament total of 145. He was caught
by Ryan Roodzant of Bakersfield, who posted 1-
under 70 in the final round.
Snyder prevailed in the playoff. Mitchell Martin
(San Luis Obispo), Landon Polterock (Fresno), and
Cole Nygren (Longmont, Colorado) took 3rd, 4th, and
5th places respectively at 147, 148, and 149.
The Nipomo Men's Amateur is a counting event
in the AmateurGolf.com California Player
Rankings. California players can earn points in
all NCGA,
SCGA, and affiliated independent events in
California, plus any World Amateur
Points counting event. Aaron Wise of Lake
Elsinore took a big jump to the top of the 2016
rankings with a win at the Australian
Master of the Amateurs.
