TEMPE, AZ (April 10, 2016)--When UCLA (852) arrives at the Pac-12 Championships next week they will be riding a wave of momentum. The Bruins captured today's PING/ASU Invitational thanks in large part to the one-two finish from junior Bronte Law (-12) and freshman Lilia Vu (-9).

Finishing in second place behind UCLA was host Arizona State (858) and Alabama (859) in third. Arizona (875) and Washington (880) capped the top-5.

Law went wire-to-wire this weekend capturing her second win of the season. After playing in last weeks ANA Inspiration, Law returned to the Bruins in a big way shooting a school record and Karsten Golf Course record 8-under-par 64 in Friday's first round. Following a 1-under-par 71 yesterday to remain in a tie for the lead Law closed the deal with a final round 3-under-par 69.

It wasn't the tidiest final round scorecard you will ever see but it was effective. Law shot an even-par 35 on the front nine with two birdies and two bogey's. The back nine was where things got interesting for Law. After a par on No. 10 Law had a quite the seven hole stretch as she went birdie-bogey-birdie-bogey from holes 11-14. The next three holes produced birdies that finally allowed Law to put the tournament away and win by three.

Law's teammate Lilia Vu began the final 18 in a first place tie but every time it looked like she had something going a bogey would offset a birdie. When she signed her card for an even-par 72 at the conclusion of her round it read five birdies and five bogey's.

Also, finishing in the top-15 for UCLA was senior Louise Ridderstrom (+3) in a T15. The performance by Ridderstrom secured UCLA's position atop the leaderboard after they started the round leading Arizona State by one-stroke.

Rounding out the top-5 in the medalist race are Arizona State freshman Linnea Strom (-5) in third while Alabama freshman Cheyenne Knight (-4) and Texas sophomore Sophia Schubert (-4) finished T4.
