VONORE, TN (June 12, 2016) -- The duo of Tim Jackson and Buzz Fly will be riding home to Memphis with some new hardware after capturing the 2016 Tennessee Senior Four-Ball Championship at Rarity Bay Golf & Country Club. After winning their quarterfinal and semifinal matches 2&1 and 3&2 respectively, Jackson and Fly went into Sunday’s final with strong momentum.

The final match pitted Jackson and Fly against Bob Rice of Pikeville and 2012 champion Mike Poe of Athens. The match was a clinic as Jackson and Fly played flawless golf with Rice and Poe right on their heels. A par at the par-3 16th sealed the 3&2 victory for the two Tennessee greats notching their names on the Joe Chalmers Trophy permanently on display at Golf House Tennessee in Franklin.

Phillip Hoy of Loudon and Dan Dent of Vonore captured the Super Senior Championship after defeating No. 1 Mike Nixon and Mike Patton of Nashville after 19 holes in the semifinals and two-seed Dan Schorsten and Eddie Sherlin of Hendersonville in the final 3&2.
