Agostino Milazzo wins Long Beach City in a Playoff
LONG BEACH, CA (July 10, 2016) -- Agostino Milazzo outlasted Jack Ireland in a three hole playoff to win the Long Beach City Amateur. Both Milazzo and Ireland finished regulation with a 54-hole total of 206 at Skylinks Golf Course.
Milazzo, a senior at Long Beach State, combined rounds of 76-64-66 to reach the playoff. This past year at Long Beach State Milazzo had a strong year as he posted a career best round of 68 in the second round of the Fighting Irish Golf Classic.
Jack Ireland, a sophomore at Cal State Fullerton, posted rounds of 69-68-69 at the Long Beach Amateur to reach the playoff.
Everton Hawkins (207) finished one shot out of the playoff and in third place while Anthony Cecere (209) of Pepperdine was fourth. An additional four players shared fifth place with a 210 total.
