U.S. Amateur: Oklahoma's Brad Dalke is winning and having fun

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI (August 19, 2016) -- Nothing is
more fun then winning and advancing at the U.S.
Amateur.
However, winning a second celebrity wrestling
match
has to be a close second for Oklahoma sophomore Brad
Dalke. Following his Round of 64 victory, Dalke spoke
with Fox Sports reporter Holly Sonders and picked up
another big win beating her in an arm wrestling match.
Based on the photo that Dalke tweeted out she seemed
to take the defeat in stride.
The win against Holly came about 16 months after
Dalke, then 17-years-old, defeated Rory McIlroy in an
arm wrestling contest.
When Dalke isn't busy flexing his muscle on the arm
wrestling circuit, he has been busy making a deep run
at
the U.S. Amateur. He will tee off Thursday afternoon in
the quarterfinals against David Boote of Wales.

US Amateur
The U.S. Amateur, the oldest USGA
championship, was first played in 1895 at
Newport Golf Club in Rhode Island. The
event,
which has no age restriction, is open to
those
with a Handicap Index of .4 (point four) or lower. It is
one
of 15 national championships conducted
annually by the USGA.
A new two-stage qualifying process went into effect in 2024, providing exemptions through local qualifying for state amateur champions and top-ranked WAGR playres. See the USGA website for details -- applications are typically placed online in the spring
