Hugo Bernard-Mike Weeks win Palm Beach County Four-Ball

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (April 30, 2017) - By combining rounds of 64-69-69 the team of Hugo Bernard and Mike Weeks finished 16-under and won the Palm Beach County Four-Ball hosted by Bear Lakes Country Club Lakes Course.

Trailing by two at the start of play on Sunday the duo fired a 5-under tally to post 16-under and win by two shots over 36-hole leaders Josh Powers and Ryan Howison.

During the final round the winning team got off to quick start with a bogey-free 4-under 32 on the front nine before battling there way to a three birdie, two bogey closing nine 1-under 35.

Bernard had a breakout 2016 winning the NCAA Division II Championship, Canadian Amateur, Orlando International Amateur and now he is set to play in the upcoming Terra Cotta Invitational.

Michael Connors and Scott Turner placed third at 10-under, Christopher Burnett and Parker Rudd were fourth at 8-under while three other teams were 7-under in a tie for fifth.

ABOUT THE Palm Beach Four-Ball

The event will consist of a 36-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play Championship (two person teams), played over two days. Approximately 46 teams will tee-it-up and compete in a Better Ball format. Three Divisions: Open / Senior (50-59) / Super Senior (60+)
