European Amateur Team Championship Qualifying Results
AUSTRIA (July 12, 2017) -- The first round of the European Amateur Team Championship is in the books at Diamond Country Club. Standings in the Men's Division:

England leads after the first of two stroke play qualifying days. Their five lowest stroke play scores leave them as the only team under par.

Gianluca Petrozzi shot England’s lowest score of the day, a two-under par 70, which included two eagles in the first four holes. Italy, defending champions,

Scotland, Spain, Denmark and France, who are placed fifth to ninth respectively, are separated by three shots. Germany, Czech Republic, Iceland, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland, in 11th to 16th place respectively, sit nine strokes and more behind the final flight A qualifying place.

ABOUT THE European Amateur Team

Teams of 6 players representing their home (European) country. Two rounds of stroke play qualifying in a best- 5-scores-of-6 format determines two match play brackets of 8 teams each.

Team matches consist of two best-ball matches and five singles matches, with the team winning more points (out of 7 total) advancing.
