RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico (February 13, 2018) - Maria Fassi and Arkansas swept the titles at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic hosted by the Ocean Course of the Rio Mar Country Club.

The win for Arkansas was their fourth win in five events this season and the third of the year for Fassi who successfully defended her Lady Puerto Rico Classic individual title.

Arkansas placed four players inside the the top-20 for the tournament as they finished 30-over and ten shots clear of second place Iowa State (+40).

With the wind persisting for a third straight day Fassi closed with a 2-over 73 to finish 3-over and secure a three shot triumph. Two shots clear at the start of the day following rounds of 68-75, Fassi began slowly with a double-bogey on the 2nd, but was able to right the ship enough to play level-par golf the rest of the way carding two birdies and two bogeys.

Also in the top-10 for Arkansas was Dylan Kim (T5; +8) while Alana Uriell (T16; +14), Kaylee Benton (T20; +15) and Maria Hoyos (T20; +15) all finished inside the top-20. The final member of the Arkansas lineup was Jordy LaBarbera (T40; +21) and although she finished well back in the overall standings she contributed second and third round scores of 74-76 to bounce back in a big way from a first round 13-over 84.

The top-five of the team standings was rounded out by Kent State (+45) in third, defending champion NC State (+52) was fourth while Colorado (+55) took fifth.
