LIHUE, HI (February 17, 2018) - Trailing by six shots to begin the final round No. 3 Texas A&M put together three sub-70 rounds to rally to the title at the John Burns Intercollegiate hosted by Wailua Golf Course. UNLV fell into a tie for second after a disappointing 9-over team score in the final round that followed up consecutive under-par rounds in the first two rounds.

On Saturday Texas A&M was led by come from behind medalist winner Chandler Phillips. The senior shot his second consecutive 5-under 67 after opening the tournament with a 3-under 69 to post 13-under and a three-stroke win.

Phillips started his day with consecutive birdies and despite a bogey on No. 3 he was off and running. Overall Phillips carded eight birdies and bogeyed three-times during the final round. Philips put an exclamation point on his second victory of the season and fourth career title with his final birdie on the 18th hole.
