Australian Master of the Amateurs: Oliver Mukherjee, Max Moring and Lion Higo lead

After the third round of the Australian Master of the Amateurs at the Southern Golf Club in Keysborough, Australia, some new faces have emerged on the leaderboard.
Oliver Mukherjee is now tied for the lead with Max Moring at 11-under in the men's division. Moring was tied with Zackary Swanwick throughout the first two rounds, but a third-round even par 72 has Swanwick in solo third place at one shot back.
Jordan Doull and Billy Dowling are T4 at 9-under, and Jake Riley is in solo sixth place at 8-under.
Mukherjee has racked up accomplishments over the last two years, winning the 2022 Scottish Amateur, finishing in solo sixth place at the Lytham Trophy, T4 at the 2023 Abu Dhabi Amateur, and making the match play at the 2023 British Amateur.
In the women's division, Lion Higo leads by four shots after a third-round 3-under 70 with rounds of 71-71-70 to sit at 7-under.
The 36-hole leader, Nika Ito, shot a 5-over 78 third-round to fall to T2 at 3-over with Avani Prashanth and Rianne Mikhaela Malix.
The men's competition is playing at par 72, and the women's competition is playing at par 73.
The Master of the Amateurs, a 72-hole medal play Championship, has rapidly become one of the elite championships in amateur golf. Like The Masters, the champion receives a Green Jacket. Contestants participate in the first round of the championship with professional golfers in a unique Am-Pro Invitational.
The Master of the Amateurs winner gets an invitation to the Porter Cup in the U.S. Likewise, the winners of those two tournaments receive invitations to the next Master of the Amateurs tournament.
