Pete Wlodkowski, the founder of AmateurGolf.com, shares stories about his month-long golf trip to Scotland; he traveled to various destinations around the country. The trip started in Elie, Scotland, and then visited St. Andrews, Glasgow, Lough Lomond, and the Kintyre Peninsula. Like any long trip, he made audibles along the way, such as changing rental cars and extending his stay in certain locations.
Pete also had the opportunity to play with different people, which added to his experience. It wasn't his first trip to Scotland, and he always enjoys the stunning views and incredible golf hidden gem courses he encounters. We also cover his friendly encounters with locals, the vibrant music scene, and the underrated food scene in the UK. Pete provides tips for budgeting and finding affordable golf rounds, including staying in Airbnbs and taking advantage of guest fees at private clubs.
