Palo Alto City Am: Hamm wins by a stroke

PALO ALTO, Calif. (Nov. 2, 2008) -- Jeff Hamm, a redshirt freshman at Cal-Berkeley, topped first-round leader Eric Meeker by a stroke to win the Palo Alto City Championship, held at the Palo Alto Golf Course.
Hamm went 69-67--136, 8-under-par, while Meeker started off with a 67, but followed that with a 70 on Day 2.
Kent Yamane and Travis Taylor, both of whom made it to the semifinals of the San Francisco City Championship, took third at 138.
Hamm was the runner-up at the Livermore City Championship and advanced to the second round of the U.S. Junior.
