Located in Palo Alto, California, near Stanford
University and downtown Palo Alto, Baylands Golf Links is also easily accessible from the
San Francisco Bay area and all points in Silicon
Valley. The par-72 layout may not be long by
today's standards, but when "tipped out" for
the Palo Alto City Championship the course
measures over 6800 yards and par is a good
score on all of the par 3's and many of the par
4's.
Formerly known as Palo Alto GC, the course was designed by famed William P.
Bell and opened for play in 1956. Directed by course designer Forrest Richarson, a course
restoration began in 2012, necessitated by the need to rebuild levees on the San Francisquito
River, and was completed in 2018 to rave reviews.
