Cypress Point will host the 2025 Walker Cup
The Walker Cup has made a point to visit some of the best venues in the game of golf. In 2023, St. Andrews was the site of a rather dramatic win for the USA after they stumbled out of the gates on day one. The Walker Cup in 2025 is set to take place at the renowned Cypress Point Club in Pebble Beach, California, on September 6-7.
For those eager to witness this historic event and watch some of the best amateurs in the world duel on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, the USGA has released ticketing details. Tickets for the Friday practice round, which includes the Flag-Raising Ceremony, are priced at $100.
Each of the match days, Saturday and Sunday, have tickets available at $200 per day. Each adult ticket applicant can apply for one complimentary junior ticket (for those 17 years old and under) per day. With demand expended to be high, tickets will be allocated through random selection this spring.
"Due to several factors, most notably, a historic playing at one of our country’s greatest venues, as well as tremendous excitement around amateur golf, there is a lot of interest in attending this year’s Walker Cup," the USGA said in a release. "Taking into consideration the unique terrain and architecture at Cypress Point, as well as the limited amount of competitive play on course at any one time, attendance will be capped to an appropriate and manageable number each day."
Attending the Walker Cup at Cypress Point offers a unique opportunity to see the finest amateur golfers compete in a setting steeped in history and natural beauty. Whether you're drawn by the allure of the competition or the charm of the venue, this event promises to be a memorable experience for all golf enthusiasts.
