Hardy/McBroom win Antioch City Titles
ANTIOCH, Calif. (Aug. 29, 2010) -- Five players posted rounds of 68 at Lone Tree Golf Course during Sunday's final round of the Antioch City Championship.
The good news for winner Scott Hardy is that none of those players had done better than 76 in the first round. So while Scott Roak, Anthony Barrera, Jonathan De Los Reyes, and T.J. Tominaga all made nice moves up the leaderboard with their Sunday rounds it was Hardy, coming off of a first round 71, who was able to hold off Blake Bertrand for a one stroke victory.
Hardy, the golf coach at St. Marys, (and who plays out of the amateurgolf.com Associate Club we might add!) also won this event in 2005.
In the Senior Division, Tony McBroom, a veritable journeyman among NCGA competitors, posted a solid 5 shot victory over Peter Moren with a tournament total of 140.
Thanks to Monica Shahade, LPGA for submitting the scores in a timely fashion.
