Engler wins Birmingham National Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 2, 2013) -- John Engler shot rounds of 69-68-70--207 to win with ease at the 2013 Birmingham National Invitational at Birmingham Country Club.
The former Clemson standout's 6-under total was four shots better than the deep and talented field at one of the nation's top mid-amateur events.
Kevin Marsh took second place after a final-roundm 69 while Richard Sexton III was third.
Defending champion Patrick Christovich was tied for sixth along with Todd Burgan.
Garrett Rank, who finished second at last year's U.S. Mid-Amateur, was tied for 14th.

November in 2020, dates back to
the early 1900's and is also known as the "NIT". Draws
a field of national-level mid-amateurs.
