San Jose Country Club, set in the lower elevations of the Diablo Range east of San Jose, California, was established in 1899 and moved to its current location in 1912. It is the ninth oldest club in the state and the fourth oldest in Northern California and has a rich tradition of golf and social events well documented by San Jose historians. The course has character and has challenged the best local and national golfers over the years. Its development has been influenced by the prominent courses architects of their time.
The course was originally designed by Tom Nicoll (1912) with renovations by A.W. Tillinghast (1936) and John Harbottle (1997)
