Kapsak, Ball reach Richmond Am final
RICHMOND, Va. (June 22, 2013) — Chris Kapsak and Adam Ball survived two matches today to advance to Sunday's final of the RGA Amateur at Willow Oaks.
In the Quarterfinals, Chris O'Neil beat Jeff Newman 5&4. Adam didn't let up against brother Matt and prevailed 6&4. Kapsak had an easy time with Steve Bacon, winnng 5&4. In the battle of Willow Oaks members, Larry Loving biridied the first extra hole to defeat Mark Lange.
In the semis, Adam Ball birdied 16 to square the match with O'Neil, then birdied 18 from 5 feet for a one up victory. Kapsak built an early lead against Loving, was 3 up through 15, and held on for a 2&1 win.

The format of this competition will be 18 holes of
stroke play qualifying,
resulting in the low 80 scores advancing into match
play competition. These qualifiers
will be put into flights by their qualifying scores.
There will be 32 players in the
championship flight and 16 (or eight based on
participation) in each of the three lower
flights.
