Meadowbrook Country Club, a complete family club, is located in Chesterfield County, Virginia, on the original W.H. Jeffress Estate. In September 1957 the historical estate, including the furnished mansion and the Gillette Garden, became Meadowbrook Country Club. By 1959 the Country Club had an eighteen-hole golf course designed by Fred Findley, two tennis courts, and riding trails. The present clubhouse was opened for full service in 1969. The horse stables and trail have passed with time, but the Club continues to develop and improve the great tradition of hospitality, congeniality and service of this area.
The golf course was recently upgraded with a design by Lester George, Golf Course architect. Plenty of other activities abound with a 25-meter swimming pool complex, six har-tru tennis courts, a golf and tennis pro shop, a clubhouse for social, dining and banquet functions and a new well-equipped exercise facility.
