MIDLOTHIAN, Virg. (June 20, 2014) -- Ben Keefer, Allan Day and Larry Loving, Jr. -- all former RGA Amateur champions -- won two matches Friday each to advance to the quarterfinals at Salisbury CC.
Keefer beat Jeff Spears 2 and 1, before knocking off Thomas Garner 4 and 3. Day took care of Joey Jordan 5 and 4, and Kyle Hart 1up.
Loving had perhaps the easiest day, dispatching Hunter Smith 8 and 7 and then Andrew Powell 3 and 1.
Joining them in the quarters are Steve Serrao, who rallied from 3-down against 2000 champ Tom Vlahakis in the afternoon match, along with Paras Pandya, Alex Sleeker, Michael Redwood and two-time RGA Junior champ Griffin Clark.
