Keefer tops Clark at Richmond Amateur

MIDLOTHIAN, Virg. (June 22, 2014) -- Top seed Ben Keefer defeated Griffin Clark, 2 and 1, Sunday to claim the 2014 Richmond Golf Assocaition Amateur title at Salisbury Country Club.
Keefer raced out to an early lead before Clark rallied to keep it close. On the par-3 17th, Keefer buried a par putt to close out the match.
It's the second victory in this event for Keefer, who first won in 2010.
Clark is a two-time defending RGA Junior champion.

Richmond Amateur
The format of this competition will be 18 holes of
stroke play qualifying,
resulting in the low 80 scores advancing into match
play competition. These qualifiers
will be put into flights by their qualifying scores.
There will be 32 players in the
championship flight and 16 (or eight based on
participation) in each of the three lower
flights.
