GREENVILLE, CA (November 13, 2016) -- On a cold rainy day Matt Hayes and Garland Ferrell teamed up to claim the Chanticleer National Four-Ball title at Greenville Country Club's Chanticleer Course. The duo finished 10-under-par and ahead by one after 36-holes of golf.

Hayes and Garland, who finished tied for second a year ago, followed up a first round 4-under 68 that included a hole-in-one on the 14th hole with a 6-under 66 in the second round.

During Sunday's final round Hayes and Garland carded eight birdies and two bogeys. Each side was similar for the duo as they birdied four and bogeyed one.

Thomas Todd and Jordan Sease ended up second at 9-under with scores of 68-67. Todd and Sease needed to birdie two of final three holes to force a playoff but only could get one on the 18th.

John David Kennedy and Stann Gann were third at 8-under while Mike Hartin and Matthew Hooper; Marcus Grumbles and Todd Hendley; Walter Todd and Walt Todd shared fourth at 7-under.
