SEBRING, FL (January 6, 2017) -- TCU junior Emmy Martin broke out of a tie for the lead Friday with a 3-under 69. She'll take a three shot lead into the final round at Harder Hall Golf Club.
After rounds of 72 and 71, Martin, a runner-up in 2015, found a few more birdies in the third round to create some space at the top of the leaderboard. Her closest competitor is former Florida State Golf Association player of the year Tara Joy-Connelly. The mid-amateur was the only other player under-par on the day, matching Martin's 69.
Second round co-leader Michaela Williams fell back into a tie for 3rd after a round of 75. The Tennessee freshman is tied with defending champion Jessica Porvasnik and Amanda Fuller, each eight shots behind the leader Martin.
The winner of Harder Hall Invitational champion will join the likes of LPGA Tour players Cristie, Brittany Lincicome, Morgan Pressel, and Stacy Lewis.
