RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA (February 26,
2017) --
Krando Nishiba used rounds of 72-69 to post 141
and
win the Rancho Santa Margarita Amateur by two
shots
over Ricky Castillo (71-72--143).
Playing at Tijeras Creek Golf Club Nishiba began
the
final day two-strokes off the lead before rallying to
the
title. Nishbia, 15-years-old, has shown the ability
during

notably in 2015 when he rolled in a 35-footer to lift
California to the PGA Junior League Golf
Championship
title.
First round co-leader Cody Hall (70-74--144)
settled for third place, Dan Sullivan (72-73--145)
ended
fourth while Connor Campbell (76-71--147) and
Bucky
Coe (73-74--147) shared fourth.
Matthew Sandoval was part of the first round
lead
before struggling to a tie for 13th.
