RENTON, Wash. (May 22, 2007)-- Leslie Folsom and Jane Harris of Rainier Golf and Country Club put together a stellar final round, carding a 4-under par 67 at Fairwood Golf and Country Club in Renton, Wash. to run away with their fourth WSGA Women’s Best-Ball title.

After the first round of play, Folsom and Harris were tied with Denise Kieffer and Lori Anne Johns of Fircrest Golf Club at 1-over par 72. In the final round, Folsom and Harris came alive, making four out of their five birdies on the front nine holes, winning the championship by eight strokes.

Folsom and Harris were the only team to shoot under par. Kieffer and Anne Johns finished second at 5-over par.

Folsom and Harris won the WSGA Women’s Best-Ball three years in a row from 2000-2003. Their 2002 victory was held at Fairwood G&CC.

The shot of the championship came from Bobbie Rochford of Everett G&CC, who had a hole-in-one on hole #3 on Monday, May 21st.

ABOUT THE Washington Women's Best-Ball

36-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play (Gross and Net). The field will be divided into flights based on team handicap. No age limit.

Entrants must have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index issued by a WSGA member club not exceeding 35.7, at the close of entry (Partners' course handicaps must be within 8 strokes of one another, or an adjustment will be made to the player with the higher course handicap to meet this requirement).

Entrants must be members in good standing of a WSGA member club.
