FSGA Mid-Amateur (North) Four-Ball Champions
NAPLES, FL (June 4, 2011) -- Brian Keenan and Paul Royak prevailed in a playoff, to win the Florida State Mid-AM Championship - North, posting a tournament total of 128. The pair carded an impressive first round score of 10-under par 62 to lead by two strokes heading into the final round. In the final round, Keenan and Royak fired a six-under par 66 to be tied with Don Bell and Roger Dean who carded back-to-back 64’s to post 16-under par for the championship.
The teams would head for a sudden death playoff with Keenan and Royak prevailing on the first playoff hole to capture the title.
With this victory Keenan and Royak punched their ticket to the 62nd Four-Ball Championship to be played at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando on July 9-10.
